About Roamee
What is Roamee, and how does it work?
Roamee is a handsfree Bluetooth device designed for cyclists. It uses openear technology that allows you to listen to music, take calls, or communicate with fellow riders without blocking your ears, keeping you aware of your surroundings. Roamee also features an intercom function, enabling communication between two riders up to 300 meters away.
Is the Roamee device waterproof?
Roamee is water resistant (IP66), which means it can handle light rain or damp conditions. However, it is not designed for full submersion in water. We recommend keeping it dry when possible.
How long does the battery last?
Roamee’s battery lasts up to 8 hours of continuous use. Whether you’re listening to music, taking calls, or using the intercom, you can ride without worrying about recharging. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge the battery.
How to install and use Roamee
How do I install Roamee on my helmet?
1. Choose the appropriate holders based on your helmet’s shape. If the contact surface is too small or uneven, use the larger holders.
2. Attach the holders to each side of your helmet. Roamee should be placed on the left side, so you can easily access the buttons and microphone.
3. Ensure the fit is secure before starting your ride.
How do I turn Roamee on and off?
To turn on: Press the main button until the LED blinks blue, and you hear an ascending tone.
To turn off: Press the main button again until the LED blinks red, and you hear a descending tone.
How do I pair Roamee with my phone?
1. Start with Roamee turned off.
2. Press and hold the main button until the LED flashes alternately red and blue.
3. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and search for "ROAMEE." Select it to pair.
4. Once pairing is successful, the LED will flash blue.
How do I reset Roamee?
If you need to reset Roamee and clear all pairings:
1. Turn off Roamee.
2. Press and hold all three buttons (Main, VOL +, VOL –) simultaneously until the LED blinks purple twice and turns off.
This will erase all paired devices.
Intercom Features
How do I pair two Roamee devices for intercom mode?
1. Start with both Roamee devices turned off.
2. Press and hold the main button on both devices until their LEDs flash red and blue.
3. On one device, press both VOL + and VOL – for 3 seconds. You’ll hear a second beep, and the LEDs on both units will turn solid blue. The intercom is now connected.
How far does the intercom reach between two Roamee devices?
The intercom allows communication between two Roamee devices up to 300 meters (about 1000 feet) in open conditions. This feature is great for staying connected on group rides or long routes.
Can I connect more than two Roamee devices for intercom use?
No, Roamee only supports intercom communication between two devices at a time. If you’re riding in a larger group, you’ll need to connect with one partner at a time, or use an application for vocal communication on your phone (Such as Whatsapp, etc).
What should I do if the intercom connection drops?
Roamee will automatically try to reconnect if the intercom connection is lost. If it doesn't reconnect within 10 minutes, manually reconnect by pressing the main button on both devices.
How do I connect and disconnect Roamee in intercom mode?
To connect: Press the main button on one of the devices for 1.5 seconds until you hear the first beep.
To disconnect: Press the main button again for 1.5 seconds until you hear the first beep, ending the connection.
Returns & Warranty
What is your return policy?
We offer a 14 day return policy. If you're not completely satisfied with your Roamee purchase, you can return it within 14 days of receipt, provided it’s in its original condition and packaging. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
How do I start a return?
To begin a return, please email us at contact@supertooth.net with your order number and reason for the return. We will guide you through the process and provide further instructions.
Does Roamee come with a warranty?
Yes, Roamee comes with a 2year warranty. If you experience any issues with your device within this period, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you with repairs or replacement.
Troubleshooting
Roamee isn’t pairing with my phone. What should I do?
1. Make sure Roamee is in pairing mode (LED flashing red/blue).
2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and that you’ve selected "ROAMEE" from the list of available devices.
3. If the device still won’t pair, try restarting both Roamee and your phone.
The intercom feature isn’t working properly. How do I fix it?
Do the pairing process again with your 2 Roamee.
Make sure the devices are within the 300meter range and there are no significant obstacles blocking the signal.
If the issue persists, reset both devices by holding all buttons simultaneously and repair them.
Roamee’s battery doesn’t seem to last 8 hours. What could be the issue?
Battery performance can be affected by temperature, usage, and charging habits. Ensure you're fully charging the device (around 3 hours) before use. If the problem persists, contact our support team.
How do I clean and maintain Roamee?
To keep Roamee in good condition:
Gently wipe the device with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dirt or sweat after each ride.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or fully submerging the device in water.
